Food preparation courses
The Hadley School for the Blind in the U.S. is a correspondence school for people who are blind or vision impaired. It offers five mini-courses on preparing healthy meals. The first four courses cover the main food groups—fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, grains and sweets, and eggs and dairy. The fifth course, “A Social Perspective on Food,” brings it all together—how to plan parties and entertain, and how to store and preserve foods. For more information, see hadley.edu.
The Hadley School also hosts online voice conferences on nutrition, exercise and other health topics. You can listen to these conferences even if you’re not currently enrolled in Hadley courses. For more information, see the archive of Hadley seminars.
