Yonge-University-Spadina Subway Line

Learning how to use the T.T.C. safely is part of the training provided by BALANCE Orientation and Mobility instructors. On this page, you'll find a list of the stations on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line and the type of platform at each station.

Safety note—Davisville station

The Davisville station is more complex than the other stations on this line. It has a side platform on the northbound side, but a centre platform on the southbound side. When you’re travelling southbound, the door could open on either side of the train. Most of the time, the door will open on the side you’d expect for a side platform. But you need to be careful when you step out because there will be drop-offs or platform edges on both sides of the platform. Look for the centre wayfinding tiles to assist you.

Subway trains are stored near the Davisville station when not in service so there is an additional set of tracks at this station. The Southbound train will sometimes pull into this extra track to let people off before going out of service. When this happens, the door will open on the other side of the train, as it would for a centre platform.
