BALANCE BOWL-A-THON FUNDRAISER

All funds raised will go towards continuing upgrades for the BALANCE Training Centre. A Pledge form is attached and also one can be picked up at the BALANCE office.

Encourage your friends and family to sponsor you, or better still, they can bowl as well and collect their own pledges.

Please Note: To support the cost of this event, a minimum of $30.00 in pledges is required from all those who participate.

Directions to Bowl-a-thon


Bowlerama is located at 5429 Dundas Street West on the south side. Phone number is 416 239 3536 By Subway:


Exit Kipling station (not the kiss and ride exit) and walk North on the West side of Aukland to Subway Crescent.
Cross Subway Crescent and continue walking north to Dundas St. West.


At Dundas turn left and walk West along the south side of Dundas to Subway Crescent.


Cross Subway Crescent and continue walking West. Walk past Canadian Tire, another driveway and arrive at 5429 Dundas St. W strip mall which will be on the left. Bowlerama is located within this mall.

Walk time from Kipling subway should be no more than fifteen minutes.

Coming from the West:
Bus number 111, 112, and 123 travelling East along Dundas St. W. Exit at the Canadian Tire bus stop. Turn right and walk west to 5429 Dundas St. W.

Walk time from the Canadian Tire bus stop will be five minutes or less.

Next "Managing Vision Loss" Support Group

The next "Managing Vision Loss" peer support group begins on Wednesday, September 8th, 1:30 PM, at the Balance Training Centre. It consists of a two to three hour session each week and runs unti November 3rd.

Find out how other folks are coping with vision loss as we discuss a wide range of topics including stress management, problem-solving, and gracefully accepting or refusing aid; adapting your home environment, personal, home and street safety. You will also have the opportunity to raise topics for group discussion


Next Microsoft Excel Class

The next Microsoft Excel Class begins Thursday, September 9th and will run for 10 weeks.  The class will begin at 11:30 a.m. and run until 4:30 p.m.
