Managing Vision Loss
Managing Vision Loss is a ten week peer support group for participants, facilitated by Tom Dekker, our Daily Living Skills instructor.
Sharing your thoughts and ideas with others facing similar situations can be a positive and beneficial experience whether your vision loss is congenital, recent, or still progressing.
We’ll explore the identification and management of common psychological and social challenges due to vision loss, and we’ll look at the stages in the adjustment process. We’ll also discuss problem-solving techniques that can help reduce stress and make life more manageable. Plus, there will be an opportunity to talk about issues that you find particularly challenging.
The next class begins on April 6. Groups are small, so register early to avoid disappointment. To register contact Tom Dekker at 416-236-1796 ext. 25 or via email, t.dekker@balancefba.org
