These bi-monthly classes are for both those who are new to iPhone as well as those looking to improve their knowledge and use of the device. The purpose of these sessions is to provide a setting in which uncertainty regarding the use of or changes to specific apps can be discussed in greater detail. Topics are advertised in advance in our newsletter and social media. Contact the BALANCE office for more information.

BALANCE for Blind Adults is running two in-person workshops on how to use BlindSquare and BlindSquare Event.
The first session is an introduction to BlindSquare where you will learn about a variety of features available with BlindSquare and how to effectively use them. These include searching for points of interest (POI), adding and sharing locations, connecting to Bluetooth accessories for hands-free use and using iBeacon technology for indoor navigation. We will provide a variety of Bluetooth headsets to practice on.
The second session will be focused on the use of iBeacons for indoor navigation and exploring how the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) has made their Picasso exhibit accessible! The Picasso Exhibit is BlindSquare enabled and the GPS technology will alert your device to each described audio stop in this exhibition.
Those wishing to participate must:
Note: BlindSquare Event has all the features of BlindSquare available for free for those in Canada.
