BALANCE's Assistive Technology Demo Fair 2026

BALANCE's Assistive Technology Demo Fair 2026

June 16, 2026

Accessibility is easier to understand when people can experience it directly. BALANCE for Blind Adults’ Assistive Technology Demo Fair 2026, presented by Waymo, is a hands-on event that shows how assistive technology supports accessibility, employment, learning, independence, and everyday life.

  • Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2026
  • Time: 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Location: MaRS Discovery District – Auditorium and Concourse (101 College Street Toronto, ON)
  • Lunch will be provided

Attendees will explore assistive technology through real tasks, practical demonstrations, demo tables, and breakout sessions. From foundational accessibility tools to newer AI-powered and wearable technologies, attendees will be able to interact directly with technology, see how it supports real workflows, and ask questions in a practical, accessible setting.

Organizations including Waymo, HumanWare, MentorAbility, SkillingUp, and Canadian Assistive Technology will bring practical perspectives on assistive technology, accessibility, employment, and inclusion.

Designed for employers, service providers, students, and jobseekers, the Demo Fair offers an opportunity to build knowledge and gain a clearer understanding of accessibility in action.

Registration is through Eventbrite. We encourage attendees to register early to secure their spot and help us plan for accessibility and event accommodations.

We hope to see you there!
