Our Impact

The impact of BALANCE for Blind Adults can be seen in the lives of the people we serve.

Every day, adults who are blind or partially sighted come to BALANCE looking for practical skills, confidence, and connection as they navigate life with vision loss. Through training, peer support, and community programs, we help people move forward with greater independence and possibility.

Because BALANCE is deeply embedded in the community, we see firsthand both the challenges people face and the opportunities to expand what is possible. Insights from our clients, programs, and community partners help shape where BALANCE focuses its efforts and how new initiatives take form.

This approach has led BALANCE to expand its work in meaningful ways. In areas such as workplace participation, community life, and access to everyday opportunities, we help demonstrate what inclusion can look like in practice. Often, the most powerful change happens when people see what is possible firsthand.

The real impact of this work is best understood through the voices of the people involved – the clients rebuilding routines and confidence, the community leaders sharing ideas, and the conversations helping shift how society understands vision loss.
