Change is something that most people struggle to deal with, it isn’t comfortable or easy. Living with partial sight or blindness can create a lot of change in a person’s life and it might feel like all there is is uncertainty. Adaptive Daily living skills can be a way to not only increase your skills to use home appliances, clean your space and stay organized, it can be a way to manage change and create resiliency in the face of uncertainty.
Join Greg Pickios, Adaptive Daily Living Skills Instructor, and Lisa Derencinovic, Social Worker for an informative webinar on how to reduce stress by becoming more comfortable in your own home and daily routine.
Together we will discuss:
- practical strategies for managing appliances, cleaning and organizing
- why change is stressful and how to use that stress to our advantage
- how ADLS can impact your sense of identity and acceptance
- building your own tool kit
