6:00 pm: Balanced Bodies: Inclusive Virtual Pilates

January 5, 2026

Ready to move, breathe, and feel amazing in your own body? Join us for a beginner-friendly mat Pilates series — no experience required! Using gentle bodyweight exercises on the floor or seated, you’ll improve balance, mobility, core strength, and body awareness, all while having fun.

Across 8 weeks, you’ll learn Pilates basics like breath, alignment, and intentional movement. Each class builds gradually, helping you move with more ease, confidence, and strength in everyday life. By the end, you may even notice your posture improving, your core getting stronger, and your breath syncing beautifully with movement.

Your guide is Megan Jones, a certified mat Pilates instructor and strength coach with Body Positive Fitness. Megan creates a judgment-free, supportive space where you can move at your own pace, ask questions, and discover adaptations that work for you.

To register, please call the office at 416-236-1796 ext.0 or email info@balancefba.org.

6:30 pm: A Space to Be Heard: Sharing Space Support Group Winter 2026

January 8, 2026

Looking for a space to connect, share openly, and feel truly heard? Join our Sharing Space Winter 2026 Session—a welcoming, judgment-free environment where your voice and experiences matter.

The group is facilitated by Melanie Marsden, a skilled professional with lived experience of blindness. With her guidance, participants will explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive, confidential setting that encourages reflection, growth, and connection.

Throughout the 10 weeks together, we’ll share stories, listen deeply, and learn from one another. We’ll also explore helpful resources and supports you may find meaningful. By the end of the program, participants often leave feeling more empowered, connected, and grounded—carrying forward new insights and a strengthened sense of community

To register, please contact us at info@balancefba.org or 416-236-1796 ext. 0. If needed, you may also request a Zoom phone call-out option for easier access.
