Our Funding

The services provided by BALANCE are free of charge to our clients.

Our generous donors assist BALANCE to improve and expand our service and program offerings and with our daily operations. Grant revenues are also a part of our financial picture as a not-for-profit organization. We also offer training and consultation to those working with persons who are blind or partially sighted, and to our clients’ workplaces, for a fee.

In 2020-2021, we are grateful for support from:

  • The Government of Canada
  • Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) grant from the United Way Greater Toronto
  • LiUNA LOCAL 183
  • La Fondation Emmanuelle Gattuso
  • The J.P. Bickell Foundation
  • Inspiration Foundation grant from Cleanlogic

On October 11, 2018, World Sight Day, we launched our first ever peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, “Because of BALANCE.”  To learn more, click here or go to our Because of BALANCE page  to read some of our client stories.

We would like to thank all our fundraising participants and our donors for their generosity. The video thank-you card we’ve posted on our Because of BALANCE page says it all!
