The services provided by BALANCE are free of charge to our clients.
BALANCE has held a funding of agreement with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care since 2008. Since 2019, BALANCE has been an active Member of the West Toronto Ontario Health Team, a vibrant health and community care Collaborative of West Toronto services, supported by the Ministry.
Our generous donors assist BALANCE to improve and expand our service and program offerings and with our daily operations. Grant revenues are also a part of our financial picture as a not-for-profit organization.
In 2021-2023, we are grateful for grant support from:
- Arthur and Audrey Cutten Foundation
- Canadian Healthy Community Initiatives
- Canada Summer Jobs
- CIBC Foundation
- FK Morrow Foundation
- George Lunan Foundation
- LiUNA LOCAL 183
- Toronto Foundation
- United Way of Greater Toronto, Community Program Grants
On October 11, 2018, World Sight Day, we launched our first ever peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, “Because of BALANCE.” To learn more, go to our Because of BALANCE page to read some of our client stories.
We would like to thank all our fundraising participants and our donors for their generosity. The video thank-you card we’ve posted on our Because of BALANCE page says it all!
