May 1, 2023(1 event) 10:00 am: Pre-Employment Workshop – BALANCE’s Pre-employment Program, funded by United Way Greater Toronto, still has limited space available for our 5-week virtual skills training workshop in January, and we are now beginning to accept intakes for our April workshop. This virtual program, which will take place over Zoom, will present topics such as using assistive technology in the workplace, networking, how to self-advocate, how you can overcome common job barriers, and much more! Following completion of the Zoom workshop, BALANCE will also provide you with ongoing support as you navigate Toronto-based employment service providers and employment opportunities, ensuring your unique needs are accommodated. All adults with a visual disability who are eligible to work in Canada, speak English, and are seeking employment, are able to participate in this program (subject to an intake interview). All skill levels are welcome.
