    Join BALANCE for Blind Adults for an exclusive hands-on Assistive Technology Demo Fair,  a unique opportunity to try out the latest tools designed to enhance your independence, confidence, and daily living.

    Whether you're just starting to explore assistive tech or are eager to see what’s new, this interactive event brings together practical demos, real-world applications, and expert support. Each table or group workshop will feature guided experiences where you can ask questions, test devices, and learn new strategies for everyday life.

    Here’s a preview of the technologies you’ll have a chance to experience:

    Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses with Meta AI
    Step into the future of wearable technology. Learn how Ray-Ban Meta glasses paired with Meta AI and apps like Be My Eyes can provide real-time, hands-free visual support. This station covers physical controls, charging, setup, and real-world uses for work, navigation, and daily tasks.

    ChatGPT for Everyday Tasks
    Discover how to use ChatGPT to plan projects, generate ideas, summarize information, and even apply for jobs! This session will also highlight how AI tools like ChatGPT can describe images, support accessibility, and act as a powerful daily assistant for blind and low vision users.

    NaviLens Labelling System
    Learn how to create and use smart NaviLens labels for organizing anything from kitchen items to clothing. You’ll explore how to scan, manage, and share tags, as well as best practices for setup and printing. You’ll also learn how to access the free NaviLens 360 Vision wayfinding code.

    NaviLens 360 Wayfinding
    Discover how to create customized navigation routes using NaviLens 360 Vision codes. Learn how to build and share routes with others — ideal for personal, workplace, or transit settings.

    Ally AI: Accessible AI Assistant
    Get hands-on with Ally AI, a real-time voice assistant that helps with reading, object recognition, and describing the environment. Compatible with screen readers and available on both Android and iOS, Ally AI is a flexible tool for navigating daily life more independently.

    WeWALK Smart Cane 2

    Try the next-generation WeWALK Smart Cane, featuring improved obstacle detection, turn-by-turn voice navigation (powered by ChatGPT), and a lighter, user-friendly design. You'll also explore how the WeWALK app supports transit access and real-time orientation.

    This event is your chance to connect with the latest assistive technologies in an inclusive, welcoming environment. Whether you're attending for yourself or supporting someone else, we look forward to seeing you there!

    The workshops and demos will run continuously throughout the day.

    You must register both for the overall event and for the specific demo sessions you'd like to attend. Space is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
