The Listening Stage Series Presents "May I Take Your Arm?"

June 22, 2021

"May I take your arm?" by co-creators Alex Bulmer, Anna Camilleri, Tristan R. Whiston and Katie Yealland, and creative enabler & audio describer Becky Gold and website designer Wy Joung Kou.A Theatre Passe Muraille and Red Dress Productions Co-Production with the support of Common Boots Theatre.

Online and by mail access to "May I take your arm?" is free. Listen to the audio flyer for "May I take your arm?" at the following link: https://soundcloud.com/user-171262644-350053924/mitya-audio-flyer.

Blind artist Alex Bulmer takes the arm of people in her new neighbourhood. Together, they walk, listen, and share life stories — an architecture of place emerges. Experience their journeys through these multi-sensory moving-portraits that consider the past, illuminate the present, and evoke possible futures.

Originally created in 2018 as a live, interactive, performance installation, this iteration of "May I Take your arm?" has been re-imagined into a 7-part multidisciplinary follow-at-home experience. A purpose built website will act as a navigation map for audiences to experience the work in their own homes, in their own time and pace.

BALANCE will co-host this event on June 22 at 7 PM: Join us to stream new "May I take your arm?" audio elements followed by a talk around with the artists at 8 PM.

The Listening Stage streaming events are free, however, pre-registration is required. Click here to register for the event or please contact BALANCE at (416) 236-1796.
