November 2, 2021The BALANCE Sharing Space Support Group is year-round professionally facilitated group counselling for adults who are blind or living with sight loss. From navigating the challenges of the pandemic to navigating ableism at any time, this group address' life challenges specifically for blind people, whether big or small, in a safe and supportive group experience (currently offered virtually through Zoom). Our Sharing Space Support Group is facilitated by a registered Social Worker with lived experience.

November 5, 2021These bi-monthly classes are for both those who are new to iPhone as well as those looking to improve their knowledge and use of the device. The purpose of these sessions is to provide a setting in which uncertainty regarding the use of or changes to specific apps can be discussed in greater detail. November 10, 2021This is a cane maintenance workshop to teach you all the ins and outs of cane repair and maintenance. This workshop will be held in-person at the BALANCE office with limited capacity and we will be following all Public Health COVID-19 guidelines. All attendees are required to show proof of full vaccination and masks will be worn. If you have an old cane that you would like to repair, feel free to bring it to the workshop! Spaces are limited.
