3:00 pm: Communication is Key!3:00 pm: Communication is Key! – This 6-week program aims to reduce uncertainties and stress around communication in different contexts and give participants the opportunity to build their skills and practice in a safe setting. The tools and strategies that will be developed in this workshop include, but are not limited to, assertive communication, self-advocacy strategies, active listening, public speaking and creating a safe space. The goal is that at the end of this program, participants will be able to apply these skills in their everyday life and more actively engage in occupations that are important to them. zoom |

1:30 pm: Sharing Space Support Group1:30 pm: Sharing Space Support Group – The BALANCE Sharing Space Support Group is year-round professionally facilitated group counselling for adults who are blind or living with sight loss. From navigating the challenges of the pandemic to navigating ableism at any time, this group address' life challenges specifically for blind people, whether big or small, in a safe and supportive group experience (currently offered virtually through Zoom). Our Sharing Space Support Group is facilitated by a registered Social Worker with lived experience. This is open only to BALANCE clients.
