2:30 pm: Beyond Siri: Getting the Most from Your iPhone

March 5, 2021

The Beyond Siri workshops are for both those who are new to iPhone as well as those looking to improve their knowledge and use of the device. The purpose of these sessions is to provide a setting to discuss the use of, or changes, to specific apps.

Have you ever purchased an app from the App Store? If you have, you will know that the term "purchase" is an all-inclusive term that includes apps that are free in addition to those that require an actual fee. Now have you ever purchased an app that is free of charge, or worse, one requiring a fee, only to realize that it does not work with VoiceOver or its visual characteristics render it unusable for you?

On March 5th, Beyond Siri discusses apps from within several different app categories that are known to be accessible. In addition, we will discuss ways and resources that you can use to improve the likelihood that your next app purchase will not leave you frustrated and disappointed.

We have decided to expand this workshop to an hour and a half to allow time for a Question-and-Answer period, therefore we will begin at 2:30 PM instead of 3:00 PM, still ending at 4:00 PM.

If you are interested, please join us for Beyond Siri. Sessions will be bi-weekly on Fridays from 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM via Zoom and classes will be repeated periodically. A reminder that you must register for each class individually. Call the BALANCE office at 416-236-1796, extension 0, or click the following link to register for Beyond Siri: Accessible Apps in the App Store: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUqc-mqqz0oGtw8bnpyh8pAVn3ofJ9ZER8G
